The CHC is a community-governed, nonprofit coalition dedicated to addressing the interconnected challenges of recidivism, addiction, homelessness, unemployment, barriers to reentry, and mental health. By uniting organizations across the country that work independently on these issues, CHC aims to create a cooperative network to achieve a shared mission: supporting felons and their families as they navigate the criminal justice system
This creative and promotional platform highlights the untapped talent within the incarcerated community. Inside prisons, we help individuals develop their artistic, literary, and other creative skills. Outside, we showcase and promote their work to the public, forging healthy connections and meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth.
X-Con Clothing challenges the stigma surrounding felons and convicts by featuring clothing designed by incarcerated individuals and those impacted by the system. The profits support NHI programs serving felons and their families, while the designs tell a story of resilience and hope.
Our vision is to create a nonprofit prison program focused entirely on rehabilitation and transformation. This program will address the root causes of criminal behavior, foster family restoration, and help individuals reintegrate into their communities. By shifting the focus from punishment to healing, we aim to build stronger, safer communities.
As a second phase in felon housing, Hope Townhouses will provide transitional living communities nationwide. With access to NHI’s comprehensive reentry programs, residents will receive mental, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and occupational preparation for their full reintegration into society.
The final phase of our housing initiative, Hope Town, is a self-sustaining township entirely managed by former felons who have graduated from our programs. Open to the general public, this community will serve as a powerful example of redemption and a stigma-free space for mutual respect and growth.
Our entertainment platform offers felons and their families a creative outlet for storytelling. Through original content, including films, shows, and more, we raise awareness about the criminal justice system and share powerful stories of struggle, redemption, and success.
Fostering strong, supportive relationships is one of NHI’s core principles. CONnection Central provides a social media platform where:
1. Felons can connect with the public to share their stories and rebuild trust.
2. Old relationships can be restored, repaired, and strengthened.

P4 empowers felons to recognize the destructive paths they’ve traveled, discover their passions, and turn their potential into purpose. This comprehensive program equips participants with the tools they need to pursue fulfilling, productive lives.
This program helps felons envision the person they aspire to become, identify potential obstacles, and develop actionable plans to overcome them. By focusing on identity and purpose, participants are empowered to make positive, long-term changes.
This flagship program offers a holistic approach to rehabilitation, education, and reintegration. Participants are paired with Hope Coaches for ongoing support, accessing the full spectrum of NHI resources to build stable, fulfilling lives.
Homes of Hope employs skilled felons to renovate dilapidated and foreclosed properties, which are then gifted to felons and their families who have lost everything to the criminal justice system. This initiative restores homes—and hope—to those who need it most.
Our prison diversion program targets at-risk youth and individuals on a path to incarceration. Guided by successful ex-felons serving as Hope Coaches, participants complete a transformative program designed to help them change course before entering the criminal justice system.
Our education provider, initially afforded through contracts with third party educators, eventually becoming fully accredited, offering felons an education in a field they have an interest in, inside and out of the walls of prison; as statistics show that less than 10% of prisoners who acquire a degree while in prison ever reoffend.
As the for-profit arm of New Hope Initiative, New Hope Industries is where we put our mission into action. Through our “Phoenix” brand, we are building opportunities across multiple industries, ensuring that individuals with felony convictions can pursue meaningful careers without facing unnecessary barriers. By expanding into various sectors, we empower qualified individuals to secure employment based on their skills and ambitions—not their past.
Our business incubator and entrepreneurial training center for felons who have viable business ideas and concepts but don't have the resources or knowledge to turn their vision into a reality. We do just that while providing the necessary training needed to effectively manage their business, taking them from felon to financial freedom, from prisoner to prosperous.
New Hope recognizes the pain on both sides of crime—offenders and victims alike. Grace House is our initiative to bridge that divide, fostering healing through mediation and reconciliation. By guiding honest dialogue and accountability, we help restore relationships, break cycles of harm, and create lasting change.
Regardless of a veteran’s criminal conviction, these men and women chose to serve their country, protecting its interests and citizens. Too often, the way our country treats its veterans contributes to the struggles that lead to their incarceration, turning heroes into outcasts. NHI’s Veterans Division honors their service, treats them with dignity and compassion, and helps them rebuild their lives after all they’ve sacrificed.
This initiative provides incarcerated immigrants facing deportation with an opportunity to remain in the U.S. under supervised release. Participants commit to comprehensive programs aimed at personal growth and community integration, working towards eligibility for naturalization and family reunification.
To counter the status quo that causes most people to take guilty pleas or lose trial, regardless of innocence, because of their inability to afford representation that will fight for them, TJL is the resource that ensures individuals receive the representation they need and have a right to regardless of financial status, rewriting the status quo. TJL restores fair, true, and just legal representation to all.
